9 Interesting Statistics About UK Drivers and Vehicles

Here are 9 interesting statistics about drivers and vehicles in UK. I just came across these real statistics on DVLA and National Statistics website when I was looking for some other information. Just thought to share with everyone. All these are real figures.

As at March 6th 2009, there was no female of age 16 holding UK licence and there were just 23 males driving licence holders of age 16.
There are more females than males of age 90+ who hold provisional license. As at March 6th 2009, there are 274 female and 244 male provisional driving licence holders.
There are 22690 female and 60625 male drivers of age more than 90, holding full licence
More women are getting full driving licence every year. In 1986, 63% of full driving licence holders were men as compared to 37% of women. In 2009, 55% full licence holders were men and 45% were women.
There are 36.7 Million full driving licence holders in UK as at March 2009.
There are 604 snow ploughs in UK.
Only 1 licensed mobile crane and 10737 crowned vehicles exists in UK.
Only 604 registered snow ploughs in UK.
There are 573 steam vehicles registered in UK.
